On Friday I visited a cute little farm in Vernon BC. IT was chilly in the air but we enjoyed a little cafe and picking out a pumpkin anyway. I figured I was too old for the hayride, well, maybe if it had been warmer! They also have the most cute display of fall and autumn items in their store. as well as caramel apples, baked goods, and half a dozen varieties of fresh apples~! Some photos below. Enjoy!

Ok first up:

PINK.TOILET.PAPER.

I am now the proud owner of a whole package of the stuff. I am not sure if I should keep it, hoard it, gift it or use it to wipe my queenly self. Significant other is horrified, and says if I put it out he will refuse to use it. I told him if he is in the bathroom and in need of the papier, he is not going to have much a of a choice. ( hee hee~!) I havent taken a photo as of yet, but here is a photo, I am sure you will understand.

PS: said purchase does support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation!

Perfect for cosy fall-ish weather lately…..

the most wonderful printed fabric apron, I ache to own it! I adore apples and pears and cute cloth!

Also real acorns, and their caps. Love them, need them, have to have them. When I was a little girl, I lived near a park where these old old trees shed acorns every fall. There were a few chestnut trees too. I remember liking them, very much. Now I live in an area of the province where it’s hard to find an oak tree, due to the climate. I shall try to wander some old city neighborhoods and perhaps stumble upon a kind soul to let me have some of their tree discards.

oh and what would Autumn be without squirrels?? Perhaps Bonbon the blushing squirrel will do..

Trying New Items- Maya Road Mists

Recently I purchased some Maya Road mists, they seem pretty neat, hopefully I will use them today on a LO or altered item. This will be my very first time using any kind of mist with scrapbooking so I am pretty curious how it will turn out!

Why I Have a Reluctance to Scrap

I think I may have a reluctance as I am afraid I will spend hours and hours trying to achieve perfection. I am not the most blessed with fine motor skills or patience and if I try to rush I often make blobs, mistakes and accidental ink marks which make me even more frustrated. Maybe I am deluding myself as to how much work it actually does take to make some of the more talented creations I see in the galleries of some scrapbook websites. And I know the practice makes perfect. I think I may have to make myself do things over and over until they are perfect. I would prefer to make things my first draft with scrap(ha ha!) paper cuz I dont want to mess up the nice stuff.

I find this is true with most things in my life, I expect perfection almost immediately from myself and if it doesn’t happen right away I want to abandon it. I will let you all know how it goes! wish me luck and my next mini book and/or layout I want to post on here, as well as put a custom header up, so exciting!!
